For Next-Generation Medical Device Innovation

Exhibition of 14 Innovative Medical Device Prototypes

At Medical Fair held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India
Date : 2-4, March 2012

Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology had initiated a Project on ‘Promoting Innovative Clusters’ (PIC), among others, in the Life Sciences Clusters of Gujarat, Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) being the implementing agency. PIC was initiated with a vision to promote innovation, development and commercialization among MSME clusters. While the Project (PIC) feels the importance of promoting the local eco system in Gujarat, it also recognizes the importance of promoting the community of innovators throughout India to further strengthen this process. It was found that there is lack of enabling conditions for promotions of start-ups in Medical Device Industry.
